This has all been quite fun and all, but it's time to wrap up this arc and introduce the new arc, as we have done just recently in the WSJ. Therefore, I propose to you, brave heroes and protagonists of this island: let us bring forth the climax and return these demons back from whence they came.

Now then, will you answer to the call? This is your chance to be a hero!

[ event post! Anshin'in-san is gathering people to destroy the psionic emitters, ending this event. Comment below with questions, protests, volunteering, etc! When she replies, she will be physically near your character. I will make a thread to hunt for the emitter when there is a suitable number of people (5 minimum, excluding herself).

Additionally, this serves as a mingle! Even if you don't want to interact with Anshin'in-san or help out, or want to help out but don't have a suitable character to destroy things, feel free to do your own thing in here! ]

[Wrap up this arc and...what. Okay, ignoring your odd manga references for a moment, to just give a slight nod in reply--she's grown rather bored, so it can't hurt to help destroy these emitters and get rid of the monsters, right?]

H-Hey, you're not really going to fight, are you?

[Kanako's big sister instincts are kicking in. She can't just let a cute young girl march to her death against a bunch of scary monsters!]

I can handle it.

[At least, she's sure she could--she's got a chainsaw after all, so it should be fine, right?]

But there's monsters! Really big monsters, too!

[And small monsters! And monsters that are kind of midling size! And, and-!]

...Nothing I'm not used to.

[Granted the monsters were in her head and not for real, but still...]

... You're used to monsters?

[Somewhere behind Kanako, her school bag slowly opens, and she quietly turns around to close it.]

Sort of...

[...What was that? Urotsuki tilts her head slightly, as if trying to get a look at whatever it was that you were keeping in your bag.]

[She pushes a stray tentacle back into the bag without a word, them zips it back up. She looks paler when she turns around, and opens her mouth to ask something, then reconsiders. Sigh.]

S-Still, it'd be too dangerous!

...Why do you care whether I fight them or not? [Though she doesn't sound hostile asking it, more like curious. Because as far as she's concerned, you're practically a stranger, so it seems like it doesn't make sense to her for you to be concerned...]

It'd be dangerous, that's why! You could really get hurt!

[Kanako looks perfectly flustered about it, honestly.]

Don't you care?

[A long time ago she probably would have said no, because really, who cares what happens to her, it doesn't change anything. She actually hesitates though before she answers.]
