shiningworld | 3rd Transmutation-Valentine's Day Event-Hugs and Cuddles

[Oh look!! Big sis is coming back from some random adventure! Maybe her trek into the crazy dungeon cave. Probably, given that she's a little scuffed, but really no worse for the wear. She spots him and waves.]

Hey, kiddo!

[Oh no, had she been fighting with monsters?! Fletcher's face was full of worry as he rushed over to her. Worrying your substitute brother and him starting to feel the effects of what he had earlier...]

Kukaku! You're...you're hurt. What happened?!

[Kukaku laughs a little and musses his hair.]

I'm fine! Not hurt at all! Just a little dirty from running around in the caves.

Everything I ran into was pretty weak. I'm just trying to keep in shape.

[He accepts her explanation but a frown still sets on his lips. He reaches out and gently holds onto her arm.]

Are you...sure you're okay?

[Kukaku smiles and nods.]

Of course I'm sure. I'm a Vice-Captain remember? No one can get the best of me!

[Except, y'know, that hollow that totally got the better of her and began puppeting her around to try and kill the people closest to her. But aht's neither here nor there.]

[Yes, he knew. But that wouldn't stop him from worrying about his big sis. He looks up to smile, but instead, accompanied by that smile are words. Except, they're words he would never say of his own volition.]

Be mine!

[Okay that caught her off guard. So much so that she really isn't sure how to respond to it. She just kind of stares downa t him for a few moments, then tilts her head to one side.]

...E-Eh?

[What did he just say?? He didn't mean to say that, it just...came out on its own. His face blanched as he tried to come up with an explanation for the sudden outburst. But how do you explain when you don't even know yourself?!]

I--um--that's not--I didn't mean to say that. I was going to say--hug me!

[Oh, not again.]

[Okay.. That's... less weird. She can go with that, especially given that she's never been one to shy away from that sort of thing. So she'll give an awkward smile and hug him as best she can, given her missing arm.]

You feeling okay, Fletcher?

[Gah, why was he acting so weird today? He doesn't pull away from the hug though, in fact, a slight smiles tugs at his lips. But given the situation, he couldn't just ignore it. His mind raced through all the possibilities that could have caused this. He didn't want to worry her either...]

Ah y-yes, I'm fine.

LOVE ME! [unfortunately, his hands flew to his mouth a moment too late.]

... 'Course I love ya. You're family.

[Though she still sounds pretty concerned.]

You sure you're feeling okay? You're acting a little weird.

[At least the fact that she wasn't reacting negatively to his sudden outbursts was a good thing. But, if this kept up, Fletcher was sure he'd die of his own embarrassment. Slowly removing his hands from his mouth, he pauses to make sure nothing would come out, then...]

N-no, I think I'm okay now. I'm sorry.

[Kukaku smiles a bit and ruffles his hair.]

Okay good... Don't want you getting sick or anything, since I don't know if there's any kind of doctor around or anything.

[He smiles warmly into the gesture. She always seemed to know how to cheer him up.]

...SWEETHEART!

[His cheeks reddened a little now.]

....You sure you feel okay?

You're usually not this... forward...

[Which is a little weird because even though age is kind of arbitrary where she comes from, she does realize he's still a kid.]

[He's too scared to say anything else ridiculous that he simply shakes his head violently. Yeah, he was definitely not okay, and he was making a complete fool of himself in front of her. He wanted to say something, but he was afraid of what else might come out.]

..C'mon.. Let's go inside. Maybe you're just hungry. Kaien was always weird when he hadn't eaten...

[Even so, she seems pretty concerned. Fletcher's done a lot to make her feel comfortable at at home here and she doesn't want him to be sick or upset or anything.]

[He nodded. Maybe that was it, he was probably just hungry since all he'd eaten so far today was the candy he'd eaten earlier. It was a good thing she had siblings, so she had dealt with this kind of thing before.]

[She heads into the kitchen, pulling things out of the cabinets.]

Hmm... What do you want?

[Oh no! He had to answer that! Okay, panicking isn't going to help, what to do? What to do? Its not so bad going a day without eating right? His new friend Philip had done it--though he had a valid reason for it, he was busy, although he did still get in trouble for it. Fletcher shakes his head, hoping that she'll pick up on it meaning he's not hungry anymore and won't question why.]

[When she doesn't hear anything, she looks back at him shaking his head and frowns a bit.]

...Eh?

[She sighs and looks at what she's pulled out.]

I'll just pick something then...

[He realizes that he's just might be irritating her a bit, and he does't want her to get mad at him, so without thinking he drops his hands from his face]

No! Y-you don't have to make anything for me,I can eat something later so...

KISS ME! [Okya, that had to be the worst timing, not to mention the WORST thing for him to say. This is what he gets for eating heart-shaped candy...]

Ah--I--I didn't--[He just stands there, about ready to pass out from extreme blushing and embarrassment~]

[She stops and just stares for a minute. She is not entirely sure how to handle this. She leans on the counter, and sighs.]

I.. really don't think that'd be a good idea...

I mean, I'm flattered, and all, but there's probably a half-dozen reasons I probably shouldn't do that.

[She's trying to be calm and reasonable about this, but it's a bit of an uncomfortable situation.]

[How on earth did he manage to get himself into a situation like this??]

I...that's--no! That's not what I wanted to say! [Although, he's a bit surprised at what she says. He won't blame her for felling awkward about this. He truly didn't feel like himself right now, and he was afraid that at this rate, things would be too awkward between them that they'd have to avoid each other.]

Kukaku...[he planned on saying more, but his head just wasn't regestering what it wanted to say yet.]

{Kukaku starts putting away the things she took out. She's not much int he mood to cook now. She's not quite sure how to address this problem. She doesn't want to hurt his feelings, but she's not exactly sure how to approach this.]

I'm not offended or anything. I don't want you to think I'm upset.

Hnn... It's just not a good idea. I'm mean, I'm kind of old... and dead. Among other things.
