1 - Spring Cleaning

[After finding a nice guest house with a clear path down to the beach and a nice view, Tsuuma began the job of cleaning it up. It was a bit dusty and the bedding in the bedrooms needed to be washed, but she was surprised that the food in the kitchen seemed fresh and unspoiled. Perhaps this Lady Eureka, whoever she was, really was preparing to keep them for a while.

Not that Tsuuma was all that concerned by it. Her family was here, and that was all that mattered to her. Plus there were some very nice people around. They were different from her old friends back home, but they seemed friendly and it was much better than being alone. Tsuuma, really, was very happy here.

She had set up a clothes line and was hanging some of the linens now, Memusu bringing her a basket with more things that needed to be hung to dry before going back inside.]

It's more efficient, yes, but it's not as though I'm in any rush... I've got plenty of time to let it dry out here. After all, I won't need any of it until this evening.

And if they're still wet, I'll put a few in the machine to make the beds with tonight and leave the rest out to dry. It doesn't look like it will rain.

Well, I can't say for certain, but no one else seems to be using them, and I don't want my poor daughter sleeping out in the cold. So my family's moved in for the time being. I think others are doing the same.

After all, if this Lady Eureka intends to keep us here, we'll need places to stay. And if this is all her property, and we are her guests, it makes sense for us to use these buildings.

That's how it always worked at home after all.

Oh no, it's no trouble at all! I made some soup a while ago for my daughter's lunch. There's plenty left. I wouldn't feel right letting you leave without you having something to eat.

It's no trouble, really. I'd be a terrible host if I let a guest leave hungry.

[She shows Elgala inside and takes her to the dining room. There's a little girl with cat ears sitting at the table eating a bowl of soup and a peanut butter sandwich.]

[ El isn't a huge fan of children, but this one looks... harmless, so she seats herself, legs crossed. ]

The design is... dated, but still quite nice...

[Harmless until you catch a glimpse at her teeth maybe. She gets those form her papa. But she doesn't seem to concerned with El. She glances over at her briefly but this is probably not the first time her mom has brought random people inside for food.

Tsuuma returns with a bowl of soup and another sandwich, placing them in front of Elgala.]

It reminds me a bit of the house I grew up in. It's a bit big for my tastes, but it's still very comfortable.

[Well, it's always nice to see someone enjoy her cooking. Plus this is pretty on par with Viral's table manners, if not slightly better.]

Anyway I'm not doing this expecting anything. It's just rude to have company over and not offer them something to eat.
