[With little else to do lately, and her job no longer quite applicable in a place with no hollows or dead people, Kukaku has decided to occupy herself with the old Shiba family tradition -- Fireworks.
She has a large tarp laid out on the beach, supplies spread out in containers all around her, papers with sketches pinned under rocks.]

Man, It's been a while since I've done this... Kaien'd probably smack me if he saw how rusty I've become.

If they don't leave the cave, it's not a problem so long as people don't go wandering in there. And if I go picking fights Fletcher will get upset. The kid worries too much.

He's a good kid. He's just used to having someone to look up to, and latched on to me. If I was still that young, I'd have probably done the same thing. It's what happens when you have a big brother taking care of you.

Yeah... It's been a while since I've worked on any, since I had the whole shinigami thing going on. But I thought since I had some free time, I should see if I've still got it.

I've never seen fireworks before. What are they like?

[Oh god that's actually... That's physically painful for her to hear. She has never known a time in her life that didn't have fireworks. She smiles and points upward.]

It's claiming the night sky. Taking the darkness and filling it with something. Heh... I don't know how to really describe it properly... But when it gets dark, I'll show you.

[He looks up at the sky above them and closes his eyes, trying to somewhat mentally picture what that would look like. Though, that was hard to do since he needed to actually see them first.]

Well, you'll be seeing some of the best there is.

Of course they're not as good as Kaien's, but I'm still a Shiba so they'll best second best at least!

[Taking a seat a few inches away from the supply containers laid out, he observes each of them curiously.]

Are these all the materials you need to make them? It looks a bit difficult to do.

Yup... It's a little dangerous, but it's not that hard once you know what you're doing.

[He laughs a little.] I'm sure yours will be just as good. Is there anything you need help with?
