[ Waltz has sorted out the functions of this highly unusual gadget, surmising it as simply an item far beyond the technology of his own world.
Fascinating that a machine powered by soul mist could produce fully sentient beings, such as himself-- yet, they could never create something this advanced. A little slab of nonsense, yet so potent in its capabilities. It was very curious.
Amidst his pondering, he was interrupted by an explosion, up in the sky. An airship? Here? The wreckage indicated this was indeed the case (again, an aircraft much different than any of Gaia's, but nevermind that now).
Wing pieces and shrapnel scattered like smoking leaves on the wind, and then-- had something ejected? Yes, it had. A black container, of what, the Waltz could not guess. But something deployed, a parachute...!
This was by far the most interesting event thus far on the island. The rest of the plane made a rocky plummet straight into the woods, letting up a plume of smoke as the hull skidded through the dirt and vegetation before coming to a halt. The black box, large enough to fit a Zaghnol easily, began a quick descent on its meager chute, thumping to the ground heavily near the edge of the forest. Waltz set the device down at last, with a final shot of dark wings soaring into the distance. Things were afoot. Ominous things. ]
