A number of booths have sprung up near the shoreline, enticing you to don yourself in the colorful festive garb of a true Bermuda native! Unwind from your day and come out to see what's offered. ♥ There are all sorts of delicious foods and snacks, and plenty of souvenirs. It's time to ring in the New Year of 2012! Lanterns have been strung up, and the snow seems to have stopped. In fact, no snow is to be seen near the site of the festival itself. Oddly, the booths are all run by strange black goatlike creatures in finely tailored suits...

The catch is, unless you sneak in, you have to come with a friend or a date! So find someone to go in with you! ♥ You may even catch a glimpse of Eureka as she wanders the festival... ]

Oh, I'm not particularly picky, since I don't eat much. If it tastes good, I don't mind eating it.

Heh, I'm pretty much the same way. If it was in the house, I'd eat it.

Maybe we'll find something we've never tried before. We should do as much as we can since we don't know if there will be another festival like this, right?

[He was glad to see she was in a good mood, he was enjoying her company quite a lot. Its a good thing he came to the festival after all.]

[Kukaku laughed and led him along. It was nice to have someone to play big sister to. It made her feel far more at home. she found a food stall and gathered up a variety of food, then looked around for some place to sit and eat it.]

Why don't we sit over there, it looks like a nice spot. [He pointed to a nearby, what looked like a neat little table in the shade.]

[She sits down and spreads the food out on the table so they can just take whatever they want.]

[He looks at all the different foods spread out and reaches for a piece of bread. He'd never had many of these foods before, but they all looked good.]

Did you ever get to take your brothers to something like this before?

Heh... Yeah a bunch of times. Kaien and me would sneak out and wander around them when we were little. That was before Ganju was born...

By the time Ganju was old enough to go, Kaien was old enough where we didn't have to sneak out.

[He smiles.] That must have been fun. I wish I could have gone to one of these, but they don't really have festivals back home.

Guess we just took whatever opportunity we could to celebrate since between everything was generally boring and stupid.

[He laughs] Its a good way to pass the time when its like that.

[Noticing her clothes had been different than when they first met, he blinked for a moment before he spoke] Where did you get those?

[She looks down at herself and then shrugs, smiling.]

Found it in the closet. I don't like wearing my work clothes to things like this.

Heh, thanks... I got real lucky. I have a hard time with clothes...

If it isn't a wrap-style or something loose in the front I feel like I'm suffocating.

Yeah, it was a real pain at big fancy things when I'd have to get really dressed up. But something like this is okay.

Yeah.. Weddings, family things, stupid noble gatherings... thankfully by the time Kaien and Miyako got married I was Vice Captain, so I could just wear my work clothes to the wedding and no one gave me too much flack.

But most of the time I'd have to get all dolled up and no one would give a damn how uncomfortable I was or that I couldn't breathe in the damn things I had to wear. It was awful.

I'm sorry you had to endure that.

It's okay. It sucked, but... It's part of who I am. I wouldn't be me if I hadn't gone through it.

Doing things you don't like is part of growing up. It makes you stronger.

Is that part of being mature? In that case, I want to grow up strong however I can.

Yup... I mean, don't go looking for trouble or going out of your way to do things you don't like, and all that. Being happy is real important. But sometimes ya gotta roll with what comes.
